Shahid Afridi might have retired from international cricket a long time back, but, it just seems that he has not lost his touch with the bat. After retirement, the former Pakistan skipper continues to play franchise cricket and currently, he is representing Brampton Wolves in the ongoing edition of the Global T20 Canada.

Shahid Afridi's hilarious conversation with countryman Wahab Riaz

Coincidentally, Afridi's countryman and former Pakistan team-mate, Wahab Riaz also happens to play for the Wolves and in fact, the two veteran cricketers had a hilarious conversation while running between the wickets during the match against  Edmonton Royals at the CAA Centre in Brampton on Sunday. This video has gone viral on social media.

It happened on the final delivery of the first innings while Afridi was running down to the non-striker's end after having hit the ball to long-off. At that moment, Wahab Riaz asked whether he wished to come back for the second run to which the dynamic batsman gave a hilarious reply.

"Lala, dusra lena hai?", asked Riaz.

"Pagal hain?  Bowling kaun karega?", replied Afridi.

The video of this incident was posted on Twitter.

Coming back to the contest, Shahid Afridi took the fans back in time with a blistering knock of a 40-ball 81 which included 11 boundaries and five maximums which helped Brampton Wolves post a huge total of 207/5 in their 50 overs after skipper Colin Munro had won the toss and elected to bat first. At the end of the day, the total turned to be enough as the Edmonton Royals could only manage in getting to 180/9 and thereby the Munro-led side were victorious by 27 runs.

Apart from the bat, 'Lala'  also impressed with the ball as he picked up a wicket by giving away 31 runs from his three overs at an economy rate of 10.33. Afridi was hence, adjudged Man of the Match for his all-round performance. Astonishingly, the wicket which he scalped was that of his former Pakistan team-mate, Mohammad Hafeez.

Meanwhile,  James Neesham (33) top-scored for the Royals in their stiff run chase.
