Indian team opener Mayank Agarwal continues on his merry way as he scored his second consecutive century in the second match of the three-match Test series being played against South Africa in Pune. However, Mayank Agarwal was able to only add 8 runs to his second Test century before he was dismissed. This is his second century in the tenth innings of the sixth Test match. Apart from this, he has also scored three half-centuries in this format.
Former cricketer Harbhajan Singh and cricket commentator Harsha Bogle took to Twitter and lauded the young man for his brilliant spell.

In this match, Mayank Agarwal completed his century in 183 balls, in which he hit 16 fours and 2 sixes with a strike rate of the strike rate of 55.38. This is the first time since 2009, that an opener has hit two consecutive centuries against South Africa. This feat was achieved by Virender Sehwag before Mayank.
