As far as India's bowling was concerned, Jasprit Bumrah's inclusion seemed to have bolstered the bowling attack. The Indian bowling unit dominated the proceedings over the course of two innings and rattled an English batting unit which was dreaming of chasing down a record score.

Man of the Match, Virat Kohli admitted it is a very special day for him and he would like to dedicate this victory to the flood victims of Kerala. He further added that it was a much-needed one and the management and the players are very proud of what they have done.

The series now stands 2-1 in favor of the hosts making it an interesting affair for the remaining two Tests. The Indian cricket team will be looking to carry the momentum heading into the third Test match, which is slated to get underway on August 30 at Southampton.
