There was a high-intensity drama during the clash between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Sunday. It was an occasion where the batsman went berserk and hit the bowler to all corners of the ground but the bowler held his nerves and staged a remarkable comeback to send the batsman back to the dugout.

It happened in the third over of Kolkata's innings which was bowled by Khaleel Ahmed and the dangerous Sunil Narine was on strike. Both the openers Chris Lynn and Narine had ensured a brisk start for KKR as the duo had amassed 28 runs in two overs. Khaleel bowled the first ball outside the off-stump has Narine slogged at it towards the off side and deposited the ball into the stands. In the second ball, Khaleel attempted a shot ball but Narine hit him towards the mid-wicket fence for a boundary. The 21-year old then bowled one on the off stump and Narine cleared the in-field and once again succeeded in finding the boundary. Khaleel by then had given away 14 runs in his first three deliveries.

Just when it looked like Narine was going to turn the third over into an expensive one, Khaleel had the last laugh. The left-arm pacer took the pace of the ball and bowled a slower one on the leg stump. Narine swung his bat for another big shot but he ended up missing the ball and was castled. An ecstatic Khaleel started celebrating as the partisan fans erupted in joy.
