Tuesday's clash between defending champions Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders witnessed some breath-taking performances on the field. The stunning efforts on the field were witnessed in both the innings of the game. In the first innings, it was Ravindra Jadeja's astonishing sprint and the leap which saved a six and also helped in saving five runs for CSK.

In the second innings, it was Piyush Chawla who made his presence felt with his live-wire fielding as a result of which he took an outstanding catch. The incident happened in the fifth over bowled by Sunil Narine and CSK's premier batsman Suresh Raina was on strike.

In the final ball of the fifth over, he bowled a simple delivery on the stumps and Raina slashed it. The sound of the ball at the first instance, it looked like the southpaw would succeed in either getting a boundary or a six.

However, Piyush Chawla had his eyes on the ball as he covered a long distance before catching the ball. At the same time, he also ensured that he did not lose his balance after falling and then rolling thrice. He held on to the ball firmly, as it was caught ahead of the boundary line. A disappointed Suresh Raina walked back to the dugout as the Kolkata players celebrated.
