Indian left-handed opener Shikhar Dhawan was ruled out of the ongoing World Cup early on the tournament. But that hasn’t stopped ‘Gabbar,’ as he is amicably nicknamed from training. 

Dhawan posted a video on his social media and captioned it as “favourite workout partner” and it has gone viral. 

In the video, Dhawan is having a blast at home with his son Zoravar and sweating it out with some exercises at the same time.  The father-son duo is engrossed in the training session and 5-year-old Zoravar is matching up to his father in every drill.

Dhawan was ruled out of the World Cup after he was injured during the group stage match against Australia. Dhawan kept batting with a fractured thumb and scored a match-winning century. Dhawan took a blow off a seamer to his glove and suffered a hairline fracture on his left thumb. Dhawan's injury was a shocker for the Men in Blue and its fans as Shikhar Dhawan has a great record in ICC tournaments. India was left with a big question, "Who will open with Rohit?" became a debate. Rishabh Pant was called in as a replacement for Dhawan in the squad. To India's relief, KL Rahul adapted to the opening position and has been playing phenomenal.
