WATCH: 'Tiger Woods winning the Masters today makes my day even better, says Chris Morris as Delhi Capitals make it to the second spot in the points table

It was all smiles in the Delhi Capitals camp as they overcame Sunrisers Hyderabad by 39 runs at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Sunday. By the virtue of this win, Delhi Capitals have now jumped to the second position having won five matches and three losses in their eight games with 10 points. They edged past two-time winners Kolkata Knight Riders who lost their home game against table-toppers Chennai Super Kings on Sunday. 

After Delhi's convincing win over Sunrisers Hyderabad, three of Delhi's fast bowlers Ishant Sharma, Chris Morris and Keemo Paul had a discussion with each other in the middle. Morris who had played a key role in derailing Hyderabad's momentum had something to say about what made him more excited apart from winning the game.

"You know it is a big motivation as Tiger Woods won the Masters today which makes my day even better", said Morris.

The South African all-rounder took 3/22 in his three overs at an economy of 7.33. 

Delhi Capitals were asked to bat first by SRH skipper Kane Williamson. They got off to a bad start as they lost both their openers Prithvi Shaw and Shikhar Dhawan early.

Skipper Shreyas Iyer then added 49 runs for the third wicket with Colin Ingram. Ingram played an important cameo of a 24-ball 40 which included four boundaries and three maximums. Iyer then stitched in a 56-run fourth wicket stand with young wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant. 

Just when it looked like the Delhi skipper would take his team to  good score, he was caught behind by Jonny Bairstow off Bhuvneshvar Kumar. He scored a good 40-ball 45 at a strike rate of 112.50 which helped the Capitals reach a competitive total of 155/7 in their 20 overs.

In reply SRH, got off to a good start as their star openers David Warner and Jonny Bairstow added 72 runs for the opening wicket. Warner scored yet another half-century which kept the 'Orange Army' in the hunt. He scored a brilliant 47-ball 51 at a strike rate of 108.51. However, post his dismissal, the 2016 winners lost all their remaining wickets for 10 runs to be bundled out for 116.
