World Cup 2019: Internet feels 'The Fizz' after Mustafizur Rahman's remarkable performance restricts India from posting a truly mammoth total versus Bangladesh

Mustafizur Rahman picked up a fifer in the game against India at Edgbaston, Birmingham restricting the Men in Blue to a lesser total than what they initially set out to make. Rahman picked the key wickets of Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni and Hardik Pandya, in addition to bowling a spell-bound last over that saw two wickets fall along with zero boundaries being conceded.

Leading the pace attack, Rahman helped Bangladesh fight back after the Men in Blue got off to a flyer, with a 100 plus opening stand from Rohit Sharma (104) and KL Rahul (77). Indian skipper Virat Kohli was dismissed for 26 followed by which Hardik Pandya was dismissed for a duck by Rahman.

Mustafizur Rahman has taken three fifers against India in the last seven games and the stats indicate that when Rahman picks up three or more wickets, then Bangladesh go on to win the match.

Rahman's fifer takes him to a total of 15 wickets in the ongoing tournament, as he overtakes Shakib al Hasan to become the highest wicket-taker for the Tigers in the current World Cup.

Netizens showered appreciation for Rahman, as they took to Twitter to congratulate the pacer. Here are some of the reactions:

Bangladesh requires 315 runs to grab a victory against India, a must-win contest as a victory would bring them a step closer to the semi-finals. With seven points in their kitty, Bangladesh needs the two points desperately in order to fight Pakistan in their last game of the group stage, which will then be a virtual quarterfinal.
