Chinese Super League side Beijing FC held their first training sessions at their training facility this week as domestic football in China looks to start next month.

There were a few notable absentees from the sessions as head coach Bruno Genesio, forward Cedric Bakambu, midfielders Renato Augusto, Jonathan Viera, Fernando and defender Kim Min-jae were out of the country.

Earlier this month, the Chinese Football Association had marked 27th June as the date for the kick-off of the 2020 Chinese Super League but local media reported that this was turned down by the authorities, who requested for a more detailed plan in order for the league to start.

Beijing FC is the only Chinese club to have played an AFC Champions League match this season, where they beat Chiangrai United 1-0 in Thailand in February.
