Carabao Cup: Manchester City vs Southampton; live streaming details

Premier League champions Manchester City face Southampton in the Round of 16 of the Carabao Cup on Wednesday, October 30. Pep Guardiola's side are the favourites to retain the Cup again this year, even if injuries to several of their key players have hampered their season so far.

Carabao Cup: Manchester City vs Southampton Team News

Manchester City will be without key defender Aymeric Laporte for the game, while the other senior defenders are back to training. Rodri, who suffered an injury in the midweek, should be fit in time for the game. While a host of youngsters will be hoping for a chance to impress Guardiola. Claudio Bravo will also be expected to retain his position in between the sticks. 

Southampton will be without new signing Moussa Djenepo and Cedric Soares for the tie. Southampton manager Ralph Hassenhutl will be wary of the threat City possess and a conservative line-up is expected on Wednesday.

Manchester City beat Preston North End, while Southampton defeated Portsmouth in Round 3 to set up the meeting. Southampton though, have failed to win a single match since beating Portsmouth back in September. It should also be noted that Southampton will also be visiting the Etihad again on Saturday, November 2 for a Premier League meeting. It'll be interesting to see if Southampton can dig in and cause an upset against the mighty Cityzens.
