Carabao Cup quarter-final draw: Manchester United will play Colchester

Manchester United will play host to Colchester United for their Carabao Cup quarter-final clash on December 17, 2019. Manchester United rode on Marcus Rashford's stunning brace to clinch a 2-1 win against Chelsea in their Round 4 clash. Meanwhile, Colchester United grabbed a 3-1 win against Crawley Town to set their meeting with the Red Devils. Colchester United have already downed two Premier League sides, Crystal Palace and Tottenham Hotspur, in the competition.

Carabao Cup quarter-final draw

Colchester United's chairman expressed his delight after the recent Carabao Cup draws got out. He said about their clash against Manchester United that everyone comes into football for days like these. Colchester United are the lowest-ranked team in the competition for now. They have lost both their previous meetings against Manchester United, a 1-0 loss in FA Cup 1978-79 and a 2-0 loss in the League Cup 1983-84. Colchester United manager, Robbie Cowling, also mentioned that they are going to enjoy every minute of their match against Manchester United and that everyone at the club are delighted about the draw.
