Consadole Sapporo ended their two-match losing streak in the best possible fashion on Saturday as they thrashed Gamba Osaka 5-1 at the Suita stadium.

The win was also Consadole's biggest away win in the league this season, matching their biggest win of the J.League campaign so far where they beat Yokohama FC by the same scoreline on the opening day back in February.

It is also Consadole's first win over Gamba in Osaka since November 2017 as they are now on 42 points, behind tenth place Sanfrecce Hiroshima on goal difference.
