Covid vaccines packed in Beijing for COPA America 2021

50 thousands doses of Covid-19 vaccines departed to South America on Monday morning from Beijing Capital International Airport, Beijing, China.

The vaccines were packed on Friday and Saturday into two cargo packages to be delivered to Uruguay and Columbia.

Sinovac Biotech, one of the Chinese Covid-19 vaccine manufactures, signed an agreement with The South America Football Confederation (CONMEBOL)  mid of April to provide vaccines for the upcoming regional soccer event - Copa America.

The vaccines will be available to protect players, referees, technicians and other memeber of the professional football environment.

The Copa America in Argentina and Colombia is scheduled to take place from June 13 to July 10 after being postponed from last year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
