Cristiano Ronaldo beats Messi, Kohli in terms of Instagram earnings

Portugal star footballer Cristiano Ronaldo achieved another feat as he beat his top rival Lionel Messi and one of the best of cricketing world, Virat Kohli in terms of being the highest-earning individual on Instagram. In a recent study conducted by Buzz Bingo, it was revealed that Ronaldo earned a sum of USD 975k per post in his last 34 sponsored posts whereas his arch-rival Messi earned a revenue of USD 648k per post in his last 36 posts. Captain of Indian cricket team, Virat Kohli has an earning USD 196k per post and has earned an amount of total of USD 1.18 million from Instagram in the last one year.

The Messi-Ronaldo rivalry

Ronaldo, who has 186 million followers, also pinned another feather on his sleeve earlier this week as he scored his 700th career goal. Reportedly, the star striker earns more money from Instagram than his Juventus salary where he earns $34 million. The Messi-Ronaldo rivalry has to be one of the best and the most entertaining rivalries of the decade. Where Messi has sprinted ahead with more number of FIFA Ballon d'Or awards and other accolades, Ronaldo has succeeded on the National level as he led Portugal to win the UEFA Euro 2016. The now Juventus winger also won the UEFA Champions League five times in all out of which three he won consecutively with Real Madrid whereas Lionel Messi has won the prestigious tournament four times. The most celebrated rivalry in La Liga was broken after Ronaldo left Real Madrid to join Italy champions Juventus. Ronaldo has played for some big clubs like Machester United, Real Madrid and Now Juventus whereas Messi has continued his career with Barcelona since the beginning.
