Cristiano Ronaldo could be facing trouble in the near future following the controversy in Juventus’ game against AC Milan. After Sunday’s game, the Portuguese forward stormed off Allianz Stadium, something that could put him in a bad position as he could potentially be handed a two-year ban according to retired footballer Antonio Cassano.

Cristiano Ronaldo's frustration

Juventus' match against AC Milan on Sunday was hanging in balance for much of the game. And the former Real Madrid star was left furious after being hauled off in the 55th minute against the Rossoneri, with the player alleged to have exited the ground in the 87th minute. Cristiano Ronaldo, 34, is claimed to have told boss Maurizio Sarri to "go away" before storming down the tunnel after being withdrawn from play for the second match running. But the ex-Chelsea boss' decision eventually paid off as his replacement Paulo Dybala came off the bench to score the winner for the Old Lady.

Cristiano Ronaldo faces repercussions?

Retired footballer Antonio Cassano has declared that Cristiano Ronaldo risked a two-year ban after he left Juventus' stadium early during their 1-0 win against AC Milan. The former Milan and Roma striker Cassano revealed that he was involved in a similar situation and was urged to return to the stadium.

Speaking on an Italian TV show, he said a player is not allowed to leave the stadium as anti-doping regulations are in place. And if Ronaldo has missed the anti-doping test post-match in any scenario he could be handed with a two-year ban from football. If at all this happens and Ronaldo ends up being banned from football for two years that would certainly be a huge story, and probably the end of his career as he’ll soon be turning 35.

It is not entirely clear if the Portugal international left the stadium straight away, we can only hope that Ronaldo didn’t evade the anti-doping tests after Juventus' match as it would be a complete shame if we see him out for a lengthy period.
