Eden Hazard has recently confessed that he organised a secret meeting with Real Madrid a year before he bid goodbye to his former club, Chelsea. Hazard admitted that he agreed to join the Los Blancos during that meeting. The Belgian always showed his desire to play for the Spanish giants and finally completed his dream move this summer transfer window. Real Madrid paid a whooping sum of £150 million to get hold of the No. 7 to fill the big Cristiano Ronaldo void. The transfer finally saw Eden Hazard entering the Bernabeu, 12 months after he made the commitment.

Eden Hazard to Real Madrid was always on the cards

In an interview with Real Madrid TV, Eden Hazard revealed that Thibaut Courtois is someone he trusts and knows. He said that the goalkeeper always told him that Real Madrid is the best club and he made his mind to move to Spain after he finished with the 2018 FIFA World Cup. But that plan did not go well and he ended up staying at Stamford Bridge for a year more. During that period, Hazard's exit became easier and he expressed his desire to join Real Madrid to Florentino Perez. Hazard became more sure about joining Real Madrid after having a conversation with Luka Modric. However, Eden Hazard's Real Madrid career did not get off to a dream start and he is yet to make an impact which is expected from a player of his standard.
