European Championship venue preview: Wembley Stadium in London

England won their only major trophy at Wembley Stadium when they beat West Germany in the 1966 World Cup final.

Gareth Southgate's side will open their campaign in Group D against Croatia on 13th June, they then face Scotland before concluding against the Czech Republic on 22nd June.

England can stay in London for the round of 16 on 29th June if they win the group.

The semifinals are also due to be held at Wembley Stadium on 6th and 7th July and the final is just a few days later on the 11th July.

Authorities are limiting group games and the round of 16 match to 25% of 90,000 capacity but hope to increase that for the final week.

Tuesday 29th June 2021 – R16: 1D vs 2F (17:00, local time)

Tuesday 6th July 2021 – SF1: Winner QF2 vs Winner QF1 (20:00, local time)

Wednesday 7th July 2021 – SF2: Winner QF4 vs Winner QF3 (20:00, local time)

Sunday 11th July 2021 – Final: Winner SF1 vs Winner SF2 (20:00, local time)
