FC Barcelona: Suarez, Griezmann and others on International duty

Barcelona players could use a break as they recover from a tough start to their 2019 season. Here is a list of players who left for international duty.

Barcelona have looked unlike themselves over the course of LaLiga 2019-20 season so far. They endured their worst start in the Spanish top-flight in the last 25 years which piled immense pressure on coach Ernesto Valverde. The Blaugrana won their last LaLiga match against Sevilla at Camp Nou. The Spanish giants will welcome the international break which will see a host of their first-team players depart to represent their respective countries. Here’s a list of Barcelona players on international duty this weekend.

FC Barcelona players on International duty

Portugal

Barcelona right-back Nelson Semedo will join up with Portugal for their upcoming Euro 2020 qualifiers. The Euro 2016 champions will play Luxembourg and Ukraine in their two matches during the international break.

Brazil

Arthur will join up with the Selecao squad as they go up against Senegal and Nigeria in their friendly matches during the upcoming international break.

Croatia

Ivan Rakitic will travel up to join his Croatia teammates to participate in their Euro 2020 qualifying campaign. Rakitic will play alongside rival club Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric as they take on Hungary and Wales.

France

Clement Lenglet has been called up to play for Les Bleus as part of their qualifying campaign. The French defender has been under fire for his recent displays but will hope to prove his doubters wrong during their Euro 2020 qualifiers over the weekend.

Chile

Arturo Vidal will travel to his native to play for Chile in their set of friendly games. Chile face-off against Colombia and Guinea on October 12 and 15 respectively.

Germany

Marc-Andre Ter Stegen featured for Germany in their 2-2 friendly draw against Argentina recently. The Barcelona shot-stopper will travel to Estonia with the national team to play a Euro 2020 qualifier.
