Igor Stimac will have to do without the services of Kerala Blasters' centre-back, Sandesh Jhingan. The defensive mainstay sustained an ACL tear in his left knee, to leave him a major doubt, not just for the Qualifier, but for most of the upcoming ISL season. However, goalkeeper Gurpreet Singh Sandhu's fine form between the sticks will mean that Igor Stimac's men will have more than a fighting chance against neighbours, Bangladesh. The Bengaluru FC custodian made a stunning 11 saves in the match against Qatar, as India battled hard to salvage a point from the Asian champions.

A heartbreaking 2-1 loss in the game against Oman meant that India are currently fourth in the table after two games. A win against table-toppers Qatar will push the Sunil Chettri-led side into third place. India's opponents, Bangladesh, will be in low spirits on the back of consecutive defeats against Afghanistan and Qatar. The fact that India were without the services of their record goalscorer Chettri for the game against Qatar and still managed to sneak points off the Asian champions could bode well for Stimac's men. Ashique Kuruniyan and Udanta Singh will look to wreak havoc on the wings against Bangladesh. Bangladesh are currently 187th in the world rankings. As such, India will be expected to register their first win at the Salt Lake Stadium.
