Granit Xhaka removes Instagram profile picture as Arsenal captain

Granit Xhaka was embroiled in a nasty incident as Arsenal let slip a 2-0 lead at the Emirates over the weekend. Xhaka reportedly directed abusive comments to the Arsenal fans as he was being booed after he was subbed off the pitch during the Crystal Palace match. The Arsenal captain then went on to take off his jersey and walk straight down the tunnel to the dressing room in dismay.

Former Borussia Monchengladbach player Granit Xhaka has further fueled rumours that his time at the Emirates is up after fans have demanded an apology from their club captain. The 27-year midfielder old recently took down his Instagram display picture where he is captured with the captain's armband for the Gunners. He replaced that with an image of him as Switzerland captain. Is this the beginning of the end for club captain Granit Xhaka at Arsenal?
