Internacional resumed their training session this Monday in Porto Alegre after comes and goes from local authorities on whether practices would be allowed by clubs due to the COVID-19 outbreak. A decree by Rio Grande do Sul state government this weekend further limits open activities, making both Inter and its main rival Gremio announce the cancellation of the training sessions. After further analysis from the legal department from both sides and consultations with government, they decided to come back and resume the practices respecting social distancing.

Internacional and Gremio are the only clubs in Brazil to return to football, despite the spike in number of cases of COVID-19 in the country. Brazil is set to become the next hot spot for COVID-19 in the world, with more than 160,000 confirmed cases of the disease and 11,000 deaths.
