ISL: India coach Igor Stimac stunned by the response of Kerala fans

Indian football team manager, Igor Stimac, attended his first Hero Indian Super League game on Sunday. The Croatian was very much impressed by seeing the crowd's response and enthusiasm in the Kerala Blasters FC vs ATK game in Kochi. Kerala Blasters are known to have a huge fan following at home and that's what amazed Igor Stimac. The recent World Cup Qualifier between India and Bangladesh in Kolkata also got a great response from the Blue's supporters.

ISL: Igor Stimac on Indian football fans   

Igor Stimac, when asked about the response from the fans, he stated that it feels great to be a part of such a big thing. He was overwhelmed that the stadiums in Guwahati and Kolkata were sold-out for India's game. Stimac had previously heard about the passion amongst Kerala fans but got the first-hand experience when he attended the game. Kerala Blasters' biggest fan club, Manjappada, lit the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium during Kerala's clash. Manjappada were also present during the Qatar vs India match at Doha.

Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani performed in the opening ceremony of the ISL season six. The Indian coach was very impressed about how the whole event was organised and jokingly stated that if the Indian players and coaches raise the standard of their game to 50 per cent of the quality of the ceremony, then it would be phenomenal. The World Cup bronze medallist while giving advice to young Indian footballers asked them to do their best and not to put pressure on themselves by making mistakes.
