The Indian Super League 2019-20 season is set to begin on October 20, 2019 as Kerala Blasters FC take on ATK in the opening fixture at the Jawaharlal Stadium in Kochi. It's going to be an interesting season as the likes of Bengaluru FC and FC Goa enter the domestic league as favourites to lift the ISL trophy. Kerala Blasters FC will be determined to prove a point after having endured a miserable outing in last year's ISL where they finished second last on the points table. The appointment of former NorthEast United FC coach Eelco Schattorie will be motivating for the side. The boys in yellow will miss their skipper Sandesh Jhingan, who has been ruled out for the time being with an injury. Meanwhile, ATK coach Antonio Habas has revealed that his team are targeting a spot in the AFC Champions League playoffs.
