Inter Milan head coach Antonio Conte and defender Andrea Ranocchia on Thursday reacted to their 2-1 Europa League win over Ludogrets in an empty San Siro.

No fans were allowed into the stadium as a precaution as authorities try to contain the spreading coronavirus that has made northern Italy the focal point of the outbreak in Europe.

Conte insisted the lack of home support was never an issue.

"I have the chance to coach a group of very serious professionals, they don't need to be motivated,'' said Conte.

Five Serie A games this weekend will be played in empty stadiums, including the top-of-the-table clash between Juventus and Inter Milan - but Ranocchia said he and his teammates will not be distracted by the strange atmosphere.

"I don't think it will be a factor, Juventus - Inter is always a special game, I don't think it will affect us much," he said.
