Jadon Sancho teams up with Nike to build a pitch in South London

Jadon Sancho has teamed up with Nike to build a state-of-the-art pitch in South London. The pitch will be home to local club Lambeth Tigers.

Jadon Sancho may only be 19, but no one can doubt the high-flying Dortmund winger's maturity. Sancho has teamed up with Nike to build a new state-of-the-art pitch in his native, London. The former Manchester City winger's teamed up with his sponsors to help provide south-east London’s rising footballers with better facilities. The 19-year old grew up on the streets of Kensington, before making his way to Manchester to join up with City's academy. The brand new facility will serve as the home for local club Lambeth Tigers. The Tigers, a club for young people aged six to 18, will use the pitch to help more than 300 youngsters to nurture their footballing talents through a number of workshops, coaching, and training.

The speedy England international said that teaming up with Nike to build the state-of-the-art pitch in London was his way of giving back to the community. Sancho hopes that the building of the new pitch will go on to empower the kids of London. The winger went on to say that he hopes more and more kids will follow in his footsteps, as he aims at providing the youngsters with the facilities to grow their footballing talents. The swanky new pitch features an orange and black pattern across the pitch. The pitch also sports Jadon Sancho's initials, as the 'JS' initials feature in the centre circle and around the pitch itself.

Sancho in fine form, both on and off the field

Meanwhile, on the field, Sancho has been in blistering form once again. The Borussia Dortmund winger is leading the charts in assists in the Bundesliga, with five assists in six Bundesliga starts for Dortmund. Sancho has also chipped in with the goals, registering three goals in seven appearances in the Bundesliga so far. The England international is on course for another exciting season with Dortmund, after signing a new contract with the club earlier this year in August.
