Ahead of the clash against West Ham, Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea said they still have 'bad memories' from last season when both teams faced each other. He reportedly said their team needs to be "switched on" this year. Notably, in the last season, West Ham thrashed Manchester United by 3-1 during their Premier League match. "I believe they have a decent side with some good players who are important to them. They are on the up at the moment, but we still have bad memories from last season, so we have to be much more switched on right from the off than we were then," the club's official website quoted De Gea. Manchester United will compete against West Ham in the Premier League on September 22.

"There are three very important points at stake for us to remain up there near the top, and for the younger lads to keep gaining in confidence. We also want to show that's what we're here for, going away to difficult grounds and going there for the three points," he added. De Gea also praised his club's fans calling them 'incredible'. "The fans that follow us away from home are just incredible. Sometimes it's just like we are playing at home in those away fixtures!" he said.

Marcus Rashford:  Manchester United Didn't Have This 'togetherness'

English professional footballer who plays as a forward for Premier League club Manchester United and the England national team, Marcus Rashford praised his team on September 19, for the 'togetherness' which he feels the club was lacking two years back. Marcus spoke to the media after Manchester United's victory at Astana's match. The team kicked off their Group L campaign with a stuttering 1-0 victory, thanks to teenage sensation Mason Greenwood, at home to Astana on Thursday. Marcus is a firm believer in the youngster. "It wasn't the best performance but there was a lot of good stuff, they're tough to break down. If I look back to two years ago, I don't think the team had the togetherness to come through a game like that," Rashford said. Talking about the match and opposition, he added, "Everyone expects it to be easy, but the opposition has come to win so it's always tough," he said.
