On this day (20th June) in 2019, Maurizio Sarri was presented as the new Juventus manager after signing a three-year contract with the club that has won Serie A for the last eight seasons.

During his first press conference, Sarri said that he'd like to help Cristiano Ronaldo "beat some more" records at Juventus.

He succeeded Massimiliano Allegri, who guided Juventus to five straight Italian titles but was unable to bring home the most desired trophy - the Champions League - despite two runner-up finishes in the top European competition.

As it stands, Juventus are top of Serie A, one point ahead of Lazio with 12 matches left to play.

The league resumes this weekend after a three-month hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic.
