Former Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas praised Matteo Guendouzi even when Arsenal showed up with an average performance against Manchester United, settling for a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford on matchweek seven of the Premier League. The French midfielder has had better performances to his name than the Old Trafford clash. He had a few positives from the game against United. He helped Arsenal secure a point away from home as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang cancelled out Scott McTominay's first-half goal.
Gotta love Guendouzi. Can play good or not so good but always shows up in difficult moments at such a young age. Big future ahead of him at @Arsenal— Cesc Fàbregas Soler (@cesc4official) September 30, 2019
Matteo Guendouzi has been present in all of the Arsenal games, starting all seven of them this season. Cesc Fabregas seems convinced that Arsenal have a big player for the future. He said that Guendouzi comes with up an incredible performance in tough games. He claimed that he is doing well at this young age.
The linesman raised his flag immediately after Aubameyang netted the goal against United. VAR came to the Arsenal’s rescue as the video footage showed that Harry Maguire was playing Aubameyang onside. Fabregas criticised the linesman in his other tweet. The draw saw Arsenal move to fourth place with 12 points while Manchester United are placed on the 10th position with nine points. Arsenal will face Bournemouth in their next Premier League clash on Sunday, October 6, 2019.
