RB Leipzig missed the opportunity to move level on points with second-placed Borussia Dortmund, after they were held to an eventful 2-2 German Bundesliga draw against Hertha Berlin at the Venue Red Bull Arena on Wednesday.

Marko Grujic opened the scoring for Hertha inside 10 minutes, before Lukas Klostermann and Patrik Schick responded for the hosts - either side of Leipzig's Marcel Halstenberg being sent off - but Krzysztof Piatek's 82nd minute penalty ensured a share of the points.

Schalke increased the pressure on their head coach David Wagner after they lost 2-1 at Fortuna Dusseldorf - the Gelsenkirchen club have not won in the Bundesliga since 17th January - while Hoffenheim defeated Cologne 3-1 in a match where both sides finished with 10 men.
