Simeone on Atletico's 3-0 win over Mallorca in La Liga

Atletico Madrid strengthened their grip on third place in Spain's top flight after a 3-0 win at home to Mallorca with Alvaro Morata netting twice and Koke completing the rout.

That victory moved Diego Simeone's men five points clear of fourth-placed Sevilla, who occupy the last remaining UEFA Champions League berth.

Fifth-placed Villarreal are now eight points adrift of Atletico ahead of what is now a must-win game at home to Barcelona on Sunday.
