She added that she is planning to follow their footsteps and become one of those women who have a family while playing their sport. She said that she continues to enjoy the sport she has been playing for all her life. Morgan was spotted at Vincent Bell Park in Southern California on Tuesday to unveil a mini soccer pitch. She was accompanied by the girls of the soccer team at nearby Glendale High School during a short practice session on the new pitch. The pitch is 84 feet long and 40 feet wide on an acrylic surface similar to a tennis court.
The official sports drink of the U.S. women’s team, Powerade tied up with the US Soccer Foundation on the deal that will feature programming specifically designed and aimed for young girls. Morgan added that accessibility to sports in a remote and underserved area of Los Angeles is important to her. She exhibited as much passion when she was asked about the US women's team lawsuit against US Soccer urging to be paid as much as the members of the US men's national team. A trial date has been fixed for May 5 but Morgan believes that the case will be settled out of court. She added that a lot of things are happening behind the scenes and there has been huge progress made. She said that they will continue to fight for what is right. She said it is not about equal pay but also about equal investment in the sport. It is also about equal marketing, advertising and equal opportunity make similar to the men's team.
