Poor start for the Bavarians

Olympiakos frustrated their opponents early on and took their first real chance. With two disciplined lines of attack to keep Bayern at bay, the home side turned the ball over, switched the play, flung in the cross from the left which enabled Youseff El-Arabi to score a successful header in the 23rd minute. The ball was confirmed to have crossed the line by the goal-line technology despite Manuel Neuer's best efforts.

Bayern's comeback

Lewandowski scored in the 34th minute to level it up for the Bavarians with a rebound. The Poland international scored again in the 62nd minute when the opponents failed to clear a corner. The Bavarians completed the turnaround in the second half after substitute Corentin Tolisso scored from a rebound after in the 75th minute.

Benjamin Pavard and Lucas Hernandez were unconvincing in their defensive duties and slow in their build-up. Pavard was fortunate not to score an own goal, with a cross deflecting off him into Neuer's hands. However, Guilherme dos Santos Torres kept his team in high spirits with a goal after 79 minutes into the game. Bayern Munich lead Group B with three victories in three matches. On the other hand, Olympiakos have lost twice with no victories so far yet.
