This will be the fifth time that Galatasaray and Paris Saint-Germain take on each other in a European competition. Both teams have won twice each. However, PSG have lost both their away matches against Turkish opposition (Besiktas and Galatasaray). PSG have scored 58 goals in 19 UEFA Champions League games since the 2016-17 campaign, 13 more than any other side. Thomas Tuchel will hope that his side can add to that number on Wednesday.

UEFA Champions League: Galatasaray opt for strong 11 against PSG attackers

Galatasaray have lost 50 per cent of their UEFA Champions League encounters against French opposition. Coach Fatih Terim will hope to improve on that stat as they take to the field in front of home fans on Wednesday. If Galatasaray can avoid a loss against PSG, it will be the first time they have been unbeaten in their first two European games since the 2003-04 season. Terim will back his attackers led by Radamel Falcao to pull off a surprise win against their French opponents.
