Inter Milan have begun the Serie A season with a 100 per cent record as Antonio Conte’s side is currently top of the table in Italy with three wins from three matches this year. Meanwhile, their matchday one UEFA Champions League opponents - Slavia Praha - are also on a good run. They top the Czech Liga table.
Here's how the two sides will lineup on matchday one of the UEFA Champions League Group F fixture.
Italian giants Inter Milan gear up for their opening UEFA Champions League clash against Czech club Slavia Praha. Former Chelsea coach Antonio Conte has done well with the squad that was given to him. Captain Samir Handanovic is sure to start in goal, with former Atletico Madrid defender Diego Godin ahead of him. D'Ambrosio and Milan Skriniar will accompany him in defence. Candreva, Galiardini, Matias Vecino, Marcelo Brozovic, Stefano Sensi and Kwadwo Asamoah form a solid midfield. Sensi has proved to be a smart signing this season for Inter Milan. Conte will most likely go with the attacking pair - Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez - to lead from the front in the UEFA Champions League. Former Manchester United and Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez is expected to start from the bench.
The Czech Liga team have done well in their domestic league. They lead the table ahead of Viktoria Plzen by three points after nine games. Coach Jindřich Trpišovský will hope that his side can punch above their weight and impress in their opening UEFA Champions League tie. Slavia Praha will field their strongest XI with Ondrej Kolar in goal. Coufal, Kudela, Hovorka and Zeleny will play in the four-man defence. Romanian star Nicole Stanciu will star in midfield for the Czech team. Trpišovský will have Olayinka in attack for the UEFA Champions League tie on Tuesday night.
