Atletico Madrid's star summer signing Joao Felix scored his first goal in the Champions League to become the youngest player to score in the competition for Atletico Madrid and gave his team a 0-1 lead. Morata's rebounded shot met the Portuguese youngster and Felix made no error to slot one home. Thomas Partey took no time to double Atletico's lead as Felix released Costa into space on the right with a superb ball before the striker squared to Thomas for a simple tap-in.
