UEFA Champions League: Know About This Season's Group Stage Schedule

UEFA Champions League: Here is all you should know about the schedule of the UEFA Champions League for the season 2019-2020. The matches will start from 17/9/19

UEFA Champions League 2019-20 kicks off on 17th September and Europe's biggest football clubs will go head-to-head to win the prized Champions League title. Here is all you need to know about the schedule for the  UEFA Champions League 2019-20 season. 

The Schedule And Groups

The pool of teams are divided on this basis the team ranking and club wins. The first pool consisted of the defending Champions Liverpool FC, and Europa League winners Chelsea FC, and the winners of the domestic championships from the six associated football leagues. Other teams were ranked in the pool based on UEFA club coefficient ranking. The teams are divided into eight groups consisting of four teams each. The eight groups are divided into two different days, one group will play on Tuesday and the other on Wednesday. The council also kept in mind the TV coverage, and the two teams from one country are paired on different days. The teams from Russia and Ukraine will not be in the same group due to the decision taken by the UEFA Executive Committee.

There are six matchdays this UEFA Champions League season


The first matchday is from 17th to 19th of September 2019  
The second matchday is from the 1st to the 3rd of October 2019.
The third matchday 22nd to 24th of October 2019.
The fourth matchday is from 5th to 7th of November 2019.
The fifth matchday is from 26th to 28th of November 2019.
And the last group stage matchday is from 10th to 12th of December 2019.

The first matchday of UEFA Champions League is on 17th September 2019
