Real Madrid will be looking forward to keep their winning momentum of LaLiga in the UEFA Champions League (UCL) as they will welcome Club Brugge at Bernabeu.

Real Madrid will look to bring their LaLiga winning momentum into their next UEFA Champions League game as they welcome Club Brugge to Santiago Bernabeu on Tuesday, October 1, 2019. The LaLiga leaders settled for a goalless draw against Atletico Madrid in the seventh matchweek of LaLiga 2019-20. In the Champions League opener, Real Madrid were thrashed 3-0 by French giants Paris Saint-German and they would be desperately looking for a win against Club Brugge in their second clash. These teams will be meeting for the first time after their 1976-77 European Champions Clubs Cup clash.

The Belgian club recorded a 2-0 aggregate win in that match. Meanwhile, Real Madrid lost all three of their last Champions League clashes as they incurred a 1-4 home loss against Ajax last season. Also, CSKA Moscow won 0-3 at the Bernabeu in a group stage game. On the other hand, Brugge started their Champions League campaign with a goalless draw at home against Galatasaray. It will be a tough task for the Belgian club to advance into the next round as they are placed with two giant teams - Paris Saint-German and Real Madrid.

UEFA Champions League: Real Madrid vs Club Brugge injuries, player updates

Real Madrid are currently facing a problem with their left-back position as Ferland Mendy and Marcelo are still out of action due to their injury problems. For Blauw-Zwart, who are 15-time winners of the Belgian First Division, Eder Balanta will be out of action due to a hamstring problem. The most successful club in the competition’s history, Real Madrid, will be looking for their first victory in the Champions League this season. The match will be live on television at 10:25 pm IST.
