Tottenham Hotspur have endured a tough start to their domestic campaign. However, Mauricio Pochettino's squad registered a 2-1 win against Southampton over the weekend to end their three-match winless streak across all competitions. Spurs will host Bayern Munich in their second UEFA Champions League tie at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on October 2, 2019. Here is the match preview for Tuesday night's match between two European giants in England.

UEFA Champions League: Tottenham aim for first win in this year's tournament

Mauricio Pochettino & Co. suffered disappointment in their first UEFA Champions League outing against Greek giants - Olympiacos FC. The 2018-19 UCL runner-ups surrendered a two-goal lead to play out a 2-2 draw against their Greek opponents a few weeks ago. Pochettino will hope that his side can remain consistent throughout the 90-minute match in front of the home fans on Wednesday. Expect the likes of Harry Kane, Heung-min Son and Christian Eriksen to play an important role against the Bavarians.

UEFA Champions League: Bayern look to go top of Group B

Tottenham have won each of their last four outings in the UEFA Champions League matches against German opposition. Spurs have won eight of their last 11 UCL games which will put pressure on Niko Kovac's squad on Tuesday night. Robert Lewandowski will feel the burden on his shoulders to score some goals at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Germany winger  Bayern's player of the season last year - Serge Gnabry - will also be in the limelight as the Bavarians travel to London this week.
