Zlatan Ibrahimovic: Awards the Swedish legend hasn't won so far
Zlatan Ibrahimovic is having a spectacular football career, however, the star has not won every major individual award. Let us look at some of these awards.

Swedish football legend Zlatan Ibrahimovic on Monday lost out on the Major League Soccer (MLS)'s Most Valuable Player Award to Los Angeles FC’s Carlos Vela. The Mexican won the prestigious award in Los Angeles after scoring a record 34 league goals. Ibrahimovic, on the other hand, had scored 30 goals during the same period. Vela also had 15 assists to his credit, which is the third-highest in the tally. For all his prowess, Ibrahimovic has not won some of football's top awards which are given below -

Ballon D'Or
Zlatan Ibrahimovic is having a prolific football career. Even at the age of 38, the player is a constant threat for his MLS side. However, Ibrahimovic has never won the most reputed award for a footballer, the Ballon D'Or. He ranked fourth in the 2013 nominations.

FIFA The Best
Ibrahimovic is yet to get his hands on the FIFA Award for the best player in the world. The award was introduced in 2017 as the contract between FIFA and the FFP ended.

Premier League Player of the Year
Ibrahimovic played for Manchester United under Jose Mourinho for two seasons, but could not win the Premier League Player of the Year award. He also failed to win any honours in the UEFA Europa League.

Golden Boot
The Golden Boot is awarded to the top goal scorer across top five leagues in Europe. However, Ibrahimovic has failed to win the Golden Boot in his career so far despite being one of the favourites to win it nearly every year.

UEFA Player of the Year
The UEFA Player of the Year is awarded to the player who has been exceptional throughout the Champions League campaign. He has never won the Champions League and hence the award is a distant dream for the player. However, he was a part of the Champions League Team of the Season for the Year 2013-14.
