10,000th CPBL home run highlights Guardians 9-6 defeat of Monkeys

Chu Yu-Hsien hit the CPBL's 10,000th home run in league history as Fubon Guardians defeated the Rakuten Monkeys 9-6 on Saturday.

The Monkeys' Kuo Yen-Wen started the the historic night in the second inning when became the league's 25th player to reach 1,000 career hits.

His teammate Chu Yu-Hsien later hit a two-run homer in the same inning which marked the 10,000th home run for the Taiwan professional baseball league.

Guardians held on to 9-6 win to secure their first victory at Taoyuan this season.
