Neeraj Chopra's quest for gold in the Asian Games started on 4th October. The Olympic champion comes into the action to defend his Asian Games. But it has not been the ideal start for the 25 year old.

As Neeraj was gunning it for the first throw everything seemed normal. Neeraj started with a gigantic throw and it appeared to fall between 80-85m. But there was confusion as Neeraj had to wait for his official record. But later it was confirmed there seemed to be a technical glitch Neeraj's throw wasn't officially recorded.

Neeraj has then been asked to retake his throw as his first throw proved to be null and void. He failed to generate that kind of pace and managed to throw 82.38m in his official first attempt. Neeraj still stands at the pole position and is heraled as the best man to claim a gold medal at the 109th Asian Games.

Neeraj Chopra comes to his compatriot's rescue

Kishore Kumar Jena made a second attempt of 79.76m but at first, it was declared as a foul. But the player didn't touch the boundary line and was inside the area. But later after a discussion with the officials, his attempt was reinstated.
