Mo Farah says he "will continue and keep doing what" he needs to do to qualify for the British athletics team for the Tokyo Olympics.

The four times Olympic gold medallist's chances of defending his 5000m and 10,000m titles at this summer's games are hanging in the balance as he struggles with a ankle injury and failed to record the necessary qualifying time at the European 10,000m Cup at the weekend.

The race doubled as the Olympic trial and he crossed the line in 27 minutes 50.54 seconds, more than 22 seconds outside the required time.

The pressure is now on Farah to record a qualifying time of 27.28 or better before June 27th.

Failing that, he could focus solely on the 5000m at the British Championships on June 26th, to ensure he is on a plane to Tokyo.
