India is jubilant as it celebrates its 73rd Independence Day on Thursday. Starting from flag hoisting and events of national fervour involving patriotic songs and performances, Independence Day is always one of the most lively days for people across age groups as they celebrate India winning freedom from British rule. Apart from the wishes flooding everyone’s inboxes and timelines, even celebrities sent across their wishes to the citizens, some from unexpected places.
Confused? It was the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) family led by the charismatic superstar John Cena who came forward to wish their Indian fans.
The 16-time World Champion John Cena took to social media and wished everyone in India a Happy Independence Day.

The former WWE Champion was not the only one. He was also joined by his colleagues i.e. the other big superstars and divas of the company which included the likes of New Day a three-member team consisting of Big E, Kofi Kingston, and Xavier Woods, one of the industry's top gun Roman Reigns and the reigning WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins. Meanwhile, the divas included SmackDown Women's Champion Bayley, Raw Women's Champion Becky Lynch and Indian sensation Kavita Devi.
The video of the superstars and divas conveying their wishes was posted by WWE on their official Twitter handle.

Seth Rollins won his second WWE Universal Championship after an outstanding win over Brock Lesnar in the main event.
Rollins had won the title from Lesnar back at Wrestlemania 35, but the 'Beast Incarnate' took it back when he cashed in his 'Money In The Bank' contract at the Extreme Rules last month. Even in this contest, the former UFC Champion completely manhandled Rollins with some brutal blows. Not only during the contest but even in the lead up to the event, the 'Beast' had done a lot of damage to the former member of 'The Shield'. Lesnar, who became the youngest ever WWE Champion back in Summerslam 2002 was constantly targetting Rollins' injured ribs. Nonetheless, 'The Architect' had the last laugh with a frog splash to Lesnar through an announce table, followed by 2 Curb Stomps to pick up the win.
Believe it or not but as soon as Rollins emerged triumphant, he received thunderous applause from the crowd. Surprisingly, the same crowd was booing him when Lesnar was all over for him and he was hardly putting up a fight.
