Japan to COVID test all Tokyo Olympic athletes, but might not require quarantine

Tokyo organisers will require athletes to be tested before leaving their countries, on arrival in Japan and throughout the duration of their stay during next summer's Olympic Games.

Tokyo 2020 CEO Toshiro Muto announced the preliminary guidelines on Wednesday, but they will not require a mandatory 14 day quarantine in Japan.

Muto spoke after a meeting between the Tokyo 2020 organising committee, the Japanese government and the Tokyo city government.
