Leverkusen held 1-1 at home by Werder Bremen in German Bundesliga

It was Werder who were first to score, thanks to a lovely curling free-kick from Ludwig Augustinsson which Omer Toprak toed into goal in the 52nd minute.

Leverkusen managed to salvage a point in their 1-1 Bundesliga draw with Werder at BayArena on Saturday.The hosts controlled much of the match, regularly firing in attempts, but couldn't break the deadlock before the break. It was Werder who were first to score, thanks to a lovely curling free-kick from Ludwig Augustinsson which Omer Toprak toed into goal in the 52nd minute.

The pair were involved at the other end almost 20 minutes later when Patrik Schick tried to force the ball into the net.Toprak blocked the attempt with his leg, but the ball rebounded onto Augustinsson as he ran towards goal and he couldn't stop if from bouncing over the line for the score.
