Q1 started with Anthony Davis making an alley-oop dunk shot with an assist from James. Rudy Gobert scored for Utah Jazz. After Danny Green's three-pointer gave Lakers a 10-8 advantage, they never let their lead drop. The first half ended with the Lakers leading 43-37. James had already picked up his pace and dominated the remaining game. Q3 was a massive half for the Lakers. James scored 12 points, while Daniels scored three three-pointers. The Lakers used a small line-up which had Davis playing in the centre, effectively minimizing Rudy Gobert's defensive impact. Q3 ended with a nineteen point advantage to the Lakers. Though Mitchell, Conley and Niang scored, Utah could not overtake the Lakers. Niang scored the last two points for Utah with free throws, and the Lakers won with a nine-point lead.
