NBA: Watch James Harden drop 59 points in Rockets' win over Wizards

Houston Rockets' James Harden scored 59 points, three rebounds and nine assists against Washington Wizards on Thursday, November 1 at Capital One Arena.

Houston Rockets defeated Washington Wizards as Harden poured in 59 points. Rockets won the game with a narrow 159-158 margin, with Harden making the winning free throw. As the Wizards had already taken a lead, Rockets needed every point made by Harden to win the match. The match took place at the Captial One Arena in Washington DC on Thursday, October 31.

Harden made one out of his two free throws with just over seconds left, giving Rockets the one-point victory. Rockets shot 53.4% and made 42.6% of its three-pointers. Harden scored 38 of his 59 points in the second half. He scored 21 in Q3 and 17 in Q4. Harden shot 18 of 32 from the field, 6 of 14 from 3-point range, and made 17 of 18 free throws. The NBA star also talked about the Rockets being inconsistent in a post-match interview. He said that the inconsistencies are the reason why Rockets face 'tough times' and believes the team will only improve as the season progresses.

Russell Westbrook scored his second triple-double of the season with 17 points, ten rebounds and 12 assists. Clint Capela added 21 points and 12 rebounds to support Harden's 59. Eric Gordon, Danuel House and Austin Rivers also scored in double digits.
