NBA news: Stephen Curry out for three months due to hand injury

Two-time NBA MVP Stephen Curry, who recently broke his left hand while playing against the Phoenix Suns on Thursday, has been ruled out for three months.

Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry, who was broke his left hand this week, will be out for three months. The Warriors announced the news on Saturday. The injury has been treated via surgery, which was successful. However, after Klay Thompson, Curry is Warriors' second player to be injured. The two-time NBA MVP injured himself on Thursday while playing against the Phoenix Suns in a match that his side lost. Curry is on the path of full recovery and an update on his injury will be provided after three months.

NBA news: Stephen Curry's injury

Curry drove and elevated, with Suns’ Aron Baynes standing firm on his feet. Curry leapt with the ball but crashed straight into Baynes. Curry fell to the ground, trying to brace himself. However, Baynes went down with Curry, falling on his left wrist. The two-time MVP was down for a considerable amount of time, before getting up and exiting the court with 8:31 minutes left to Q3. Curry was clearly in pain as he made his way to the locker room. Curry had scored nine points, six assists and five rebounds before he had to walk out. Warriors lost the game 110-121.

Curry, who is the longest-serving member of the team, is extremely essential to the team and their victory. As one of the most loved NBA players, his teammates, opponents and coaches alike showered him with overwhelming love and support. From Richard Jefferson to Patrick Beverley, everyone extended support for the player. Curry even posted a story on Instagram to thank everyone for their good wishes, while also showing his injured hand.
