San Antonio Spurs rallied well to beat a resurgent New York Knicks with a score of 120-111. RJ Barett made his debut for the Knicks but failed to inspire a win despite coming close. Check out the player ratings from the game.

San Antonio Spurs 120-111 New York Knicks

LaMarcus Aldridge had 22 points while Bryn Forbes added 20 points to down the Knicks in the first NBA game of the season for both the sides. The Knicks pinned their hopes on Barett after failing to make any marquee signing. Despite having a solid debut, scoring 21 points and 2 assists in 37 minutes, he couldn't get his side home in the AT&T Center.  Marcus Morris, after moving to Knicks from Spurs, led his new side with 26 points while Julian Randle added 25 points. On the other hand, Dejounte Murray had a great hame for the Spurs scoring 18 points, including a 3 pointer in the last five minutes of the game. The 6'5 point guard had six assists and eight rebounds. The winning side committed 21 turnovers, which led to 32 points. Despite a close Q2 and winning the Q3, Knicks' sustained pressure amounted to nothing at the end as the fell to a defeat in their opening game.
