NFL star Rob Gronkowski can normally be found on Sundays catching footballs from his longtime Super Bowl quarterback Tom Brady.

But Gronk took it to another level on Friday, setting a new world record for highest altitude catch by snaring a football dropped from a helicopter hovering 640-feet over the stadium at his college alma mater the University of Arizona.

Gronkowski dropped the first two attempts, but on the third try he held on for the record then gave the football one of his famous Gronk spikes as Arizona players mobbed him.

Gronkowski, a four-time Super Bowl winner, five-time Pro Bowler, made the homecoming for the annual Arizona spring football game.
